#1.) To cement NXT as the third brand
It’s been a long time since NXT was actually referred to as “developmental”. It surpassed that many years ago but the perception of it still remains. It’s clear that WWE wants to push NXT as the third show rather than being the developmental brand and having them be a part of Survivor Series is a huge statement.
It truly is a sign that NXT is here to stay and can eventually be as big as RAW or SmackDown!
