WWE has confirmed Jade Cargill’s signing. The 31-year-old star is Performance Center-bound after signing a multi-year deal with the sports entertainment juggernaut. In a press release, WWE called Cargill “a standout performer who has earned accolades as an industry-renowned talent.”
The confirmation comes 10 days after Cargill wrestled her farewell match in AEW. She suffered the second loss of her singles career to Kris Statlander in their AEW TBS Championship rematch on the September 15, 2023, episode of Rampage.
Jade Cargill‘s WWE signing opens up the possibility for matches against some of the most popular female stars on the roster. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the best options for Jade Cargill’s potential opponents in WWE.
Blair Davenport should be Jade Cargill’s first opponent in NXT
WWE hasn’t confirmed if Jade Cargill will work NXT developmental or pushed straight to the main roster. If she joins the white and gold brand, there’s no better opponent to welcome her than Blair Davenport.
The former Bea Priestley has been incredibly good in her heel gimmick on NXT. She had a solid feud against Roxanne Perez. Davenport knows how to get heat with the crowd and she could be a good first feud for Cargill on NXT.
Ivy Nile needs a proper send-off feud
Ivy Nile’s work in NXT isn’t talked about enough. She is arguably the most overlooked competitor on the NXT women’s roster. She’s also probably pound-for-pound the strongest wrestler in the NXT women’s division.
A feud with an established veteran in Ivy Nile could be the perfect learning curve for Jade Cargill in NXT. Nile has hands-on experience with the best and worst on the NXT women’s roster. Ideally, Shawn Michaels would book this as a send-off feud for Ivy Nile.
Charlotte Flair is the best opponent for Cargill on the main roster
There’s no better first opponent for Jade Cargill on the main roster than Charlotte Flair. The Queen has proven time and time again she can bring out the best in her opponents. She’s been in the ring with some of the best and she’s beaten them all.
Jade Cargill versus Charlotte Flair would undoubtedly be a feud of the year contender if booked right. However, WWE should build the feud without a world title in sight, or Charlotte Flair detractors might throw another fit.
Tiffany Stratton has just scratched the surface
Tiffany Stratton is one of the fastest-rising stars on the WWE women’s roster. She captured the NXT Women’s Championship at the age of 24, making her one of the youngest stars to win the title. Her in-ring skills have received fans from fans and peers alike.
Tiffany Stratton is open to the idea of facing Jade Cargill in WWE. “Yeah, for sure. Bring her on in,” Stratton said. “I don’t know much about her, but I’ve seen photos of her and she’s beautiful. But yeah, I’m not sure what’s really going on there. So I guess we’ll see.” (H/T Wrestling Observer)
This feud should take place on the main roster instead of NXT.
Bianca Belair vs. Jade Cargill is a dream match
Bianca Belair versus Jade Cargill is a dream match for many fans, and it can potentially happen with Cargill signed to WWE. Charisma and strength are two things the former high school athletes share. They just need the right time and the right place to face each other.
The E.S.T. is currently on a WWE hiatus these days; something she has definitely earned for being a workhorse. She may even return to WWE by the time Jade Cargill shows up on the main roster. Only time will tell.
