Mark Henry – Number One Contender

ONE WEAK STEP UP

He may be the "World's Strongest Man", but unfortunately, Mark Henry has the world's "weakest" chance of winning the World Heavyweight Championship…ever.  As good as Henry's been in recent months, he still has the past 15 years of irrelevance to make up for and try to get past.

Mark Henry has been in a zone and in my personal opinion, he is extremely entertaining to watch right now.  He's believable in every way…except for one.  He's still not believable as the World Heavyweight champion.  And I'm afraid he never will be.

Smackdown is hurting enough right now and that just adds to the problems Henry already faces.

WWE needs to get Barrett built up FAST, so he can take the title from Orton and work with Sheamus, Daniel Bryan and some other fresh blood.  Mark Henry is a good guy to put over the Champion, but get someone like Barrett there quickly and allow Orton to help out the younger guys that will actually be there five years from now.

Of course, Mark Henry's been with the company five years longer than I thought he would, so maybe he is that guy.

Quick aside: Don't forget to set your DVR's to tape this Tuesday's live Smackdown.
