Cody Rhodes Def. Booker T to retain the Intercontinental Championship:

What I Liked:

I was happy that this match took place, especially after all of the attacks earlier in the night. It built Booker T being weak and beaten down, which does not make him look like he cleanily lost this match. The pace of the match was good, and the kicks to Booker’s head was spot on by Rhodes. I really liked the quick back and forth action from both guys. I was really surprised by how good Booker T looked. He looked rested, youthful, and can still go with the more quicker and athletic Rhodes. He definitely did not let us down.

What I Disliked:

I wish the match was given more time and put in a better spot in the night. Rhodes and Booker can go, and shockingly, I wish we get another match at the Royal Rumble. I think that is the point of Booker being beaten down and trying to overcome at a later date.

CM Punk Def. Alberto Del Rio and The Miz in a TLC Match to Retain the WWE Championship:

What I Liked:

All three men did a great job throughout the match with spots, not really botching any or missing a big spot. I really liked how every piece of TLC was used throughout, even the chairs which seem to be forgotten in this match. Punk looked great physically and had great chemistry with Miz. I felt that the spots were timely, and the match did not disappoint.

What I Disliked:

Ricardo Rodriguez getting the big spot of the night. Come on, WWE. Give that big spot to a meaningful guy like Del Rio. I was really upset when this happened, as I felt it took away from a memorable moment we could have had. Also, the end solidifies Punk as champion, but who is next? Does Miz get a 1-on-1 match? Does Punk get a new opponent? I wanted to see something at the end to intrigue me into Raw, and it did not. I am still interested to see what’s next, but they could’ve ended it more interestingly.
