The Rock

The final WrestleMania under the WWF name, this one did not disappoint. With the involvement with many WCW stars, Toronto packed in the Skydome to see Icon vs. Icon. Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock was the pairing everyone wanted to see. Two men who paved their way to greatness through the WWE would do battle in a match that was not the greatest athletically, but did everything to get the crowd going. With the turning of Rock and cheering the infamous Hogan, that was the biggest shock of all. The match lasted 16 minutes and was timed perfectly. Hogan did his usual, while The Rock was able to walk out the winner and a passing of the torch in some senses. Other than that big match, we saw Kane vs. Kurt Angle in an underrated match, as well as Ric Flair vs. The Undertaker in quite a blood bath. Many forget Austin vs. Hall, but that had a good build to it with a lackluster match. The main event was Jericho, with Stephanie McMahon, vs. the returning Triple H. A guy who almost lost his career with a torn quad, Triple H looked jacked and this match was very solid from beginning to end. From the main events to the mid cards, this was a solid night of wrestling, and one that will always be remembered.
