Title This: WWE Raw Reaction 8/13/12

Damien Sandow def. Christian

What I Liked:

ChristianAs a Sandow fan, I was really happy to see him face someone of relevance, and not a jobber. Brodus Clay would come out and try to distract Sandow. I thought this was a great way to utilize both men and not have them interact in a physical standpoint. Sandow has only show the aggressive knees to the stomach, as well as his neckbreaker. I really like how aggressive he is consistently, and never falls off. This made me more interested in his feud with Clay, especially since we did not need to see a physical altercation. Clay does not need to be in match after match, followed by an attack. It was more creative.

What I Disliked:

What does this mean for Christian, losing clean to an up and coming talent? Where does he go from here? He is too good not to be used consistently.

Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels Saga to end Raw

What I Liked:

Brock LesnarThere was over a half hour to fill. Lesnar meets Shawn Michaels backstage and says he will see him in the ring. Heyman and Lesnar basically call out HBK and HHH, so Shawn comes out first. Before he could speak, Triple H comes out. The contract is signed by Triple H, and then Lesnar signs it. He throws it at The Game and walks out of the ring. Backstage, HBK questions Triple H's chances of beating Brock Lesnar. He says Triple H needs to beat Brock on his own, and walks away. First, I love the addition of Shawn Michaels because we all know the persona feud going on right now. It is WWE vs. Brock Lesnar. That is basically what it has been built up as for months. This was a good way of implimenting that personal struggle. After this, Matt Striker shies away from his Big Show interview to see Paul Heyman cutting off Shawn Michaels. Lesnar comes and drags HBK out of the car. HHH comes out after a break and see Shawn's car. He heads back into the arena, and then we see Brock with Shawn Michaels enter the arena on his shoulders. Brock Lesnar hits an F5, and then locks in an armbar. Paul Heyman yells and says Triple H should stop there or Brock will break Shawn's arm. He ends up "breaking" his arm. Triple H comes in and Brock runs off. This is alot that happens and I really felt the ending was good, not great. Triple H needed one more reason to be pissed off, and he got it. You can feel the boiling point for him. Brock is a great old school heel, and Paul Heyman is on another level on the microphone. He knows what to say and how to say it.

What I Disliked:

This was really awkward execution, and it took plenty of time. We have about 35 minutes for this to all pan out, when it could have been done in 15-20. That was my only gripe because it was compelling TV. I just felt like it was too much back and forth and back and forth for the last segment of the show.
