Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Intercontinental Champions

Number 9: Tito Santana

Tito made history by becoming the first Mexican born Intercontinental Champion. He would pave the way for men like Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, and others who are not Americans. Although this will be overlooked, Santana’s championship reigns as IC Champion was memorable. He would have many feuds, including legendary matches with Don Muraco, Randy Savage, and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. His excellence in the ring was something special to watch. As you see Santana wrestle, he was more than just a strong body. His ability inside the ring was all about timing, execution, and percision. He is one of the guys in the 80’s that WWE could lean on to produce a great match. For this, he deserves to be in the top 10.
