Isenberg and Killam Run Down the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank Participants

Jack Swagger

Josh Isenberg: If WWE wants to throw away the briefcase, give it to Swagger. How did Elimination Chamber do for Swagger? He went to face Del Rio at Wrestlemania and was overshadowed by his manager. Zeb Colter is the best thing going for Swagger. I really have soured on Jack because it seems like he really does not care about his potential success. He already won the briefcase, already fell flat with it, and should be relegated back to the mid card. He is a good talent in the ring, but I feel like he already hit his ceiling. There is no positives for Swagger to win the briefcase.

Mike Killam: WWE has done everything they possibly can to get Jack Swagger over as a credible main event talent. They threw him in ECW and gave him the world title; nobody cared and the show lost ratings. They gave him Money in the Bank when it was still a relatively fresh concept; that was widely considered one of the worst world title reigns in history. This year they gave him an Elimination Chamber win, and one of the main events at WrestleMania; his DUI arrest drew more buzz than his failed attempt at becoming world champion. It's funny because I actually like Jack Swagger, despite everything I've said. But WWE has done everything they can for him, and the fans just don't care. Zeb Colter got him close, but if they had any faith in that helping, he wouldn't have picked up Cesaro as well. Giving Swagger yet another Money in the Bank win wouldn't just be a waste of time, but a serious squandering of potential given some of the other competitors in this match.
