Adam Cole – Step Up

I might lose some "WWE purists" (LOL!) talking about Ring of Honor, but I don't care. I can barely get through Raw – write your own column if you've got a problem with that.

Adam Cole retained the ROH World Championship against both Adam Cole and Jushin "Thunder" Liger over the course of two weeks. I think most expected both matches to end as they did – certainly the later. Can you imagine a Liger title reign in 2014? He also managed to stand tall over Michael Elgin, AJ Styles and Okada at the same time. If you actually start ranking wrestling companies by entertainment factor and in-ring talent, rather than how much money the make on a global scale, I think that technically makes Adam Cole the "best in the world".

If you're in Reseda, California or near to those parts, Cole will be defending the PWG World Championship against Kyle O'Reilly this weekend. That is the most fun wrestling company, in the most fun wrestling building, with some of the best wrestling fans on the planet. I've never been disappointed by ordering one of their DVDs. Check them out – check Adam out – check out Ring of Honor. If I'm talking about real "steps up", they're taking giant leaps over their "superior" competition.
