Wrestlezone’s Top 10 Greatest Money in the Bank Ladder Match Performers

#8 – Edge

EdgeMake no mistake: the Money in the Bank match made Edge's Hall of Famer career.

Prior to winning the very first match at WrestleMania 21, Edge became famous for pioneering the tag team ladder match along with Christian, the Hardy Boyz and the Dudleyz. After years of mid-card titles, it was the Money in the Bank briefcase, and a brilliantly timed cash-in on John Cena after a brutal Elimination Chamber that took the self-proclaimed "ultimate opportunist" to the mountain top.

But this is a list of the greatest performers in the gimmick's history, and while Edge has been in a total of three throughout his career, there was only one year where he truly stood out. At WrestleMania 23, although Mr. Kennedy would go on to win the match, Edge speared not one… not two… but SEVEN people, one after another.

#7 – Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler will take any gimmick WWE has ever created – no matter how ridiculous or tuned towards extreme spots – and turn it into a 4-star wrestling match. You almost forget that Ziggler is in a Money in the Bank ladder match, because he brought his technical skill to a contest that doesn't normally need it. A lot of guys on this list rested on the ladder as a crutch, getting in their major spots to pop the crowd; Ziggler used it as an extension of his already fantastic ability, and there's a big difference. Beyond that, Dolph brought a huge amount of fan support to his last Money in the Bank match – which he won – leading to one of the best moments in the gimmick's history.
