Title This: WWE Raw “Week 1 On The Road To SummerSlam Starts Hot”

Cesaro defeated Dean Ambrose Via Disqualification

A slugfest between two great athletes was the story tonight. Cesaro hits a big clothesline, but Ambrose counters with one of his own. Cesaro takes control late and sends Ambrose into the corner as he kicks away. Cesaro goes shoulder first into the ring post and Ambrose continues to throw him into it. Ambrose hits Cesaro in the arm with a chair and loses control. Cesaro escapes, but the story is all about how Ambrose is going to be hard to control. I really do think that Dean Ambrose losing means absolutely nothing because his match with Seth Rollins, as well as the overall feud, is all about escaping restrictions. They need to have no rules and a fight to really spotlight the intensity. We got a sneak peak into it tonight with Ambrose getting DQ’ed with a chair to Cesaro.

Brock Is Back

I do not hear fanboys complaining about this predictability. Oh, okay, because it is what you want. Brock Lesnar is Plan C when Reigns chases off Orton and Paul Heyman comes out and says they need to go with the dangerous plan. Triple H shakes hands with Heyman and then shakes hands with Brock Lesnar. Heyman says Lesnar is going to conquer John Cena at SummerSlam and take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Impactful. Intense. Brock Lesnar is going to win at SummerSlam and this could be really good. I remember Extreme Rules when these guys brawled. It was a fight, not a wrestling match. Expect much of the same here. I want to see Cena stripped of all of his comedy acts and really get down to an aggressive and extreme physicality that we haven’t seen in quite some time. He needs to reach another level with Lesnar. Either way, the crowd will be split throughout the feud. This is like every John Cena feud. Also, Paul Heyman showing Brock Lesnar break the streak was genius. It makes everyone remember how upset they were and shocked. This only helps Cena look more like a face.
