A major WWE faction appears to have reached its breaking point following the latest SmackDown tapings, with tensions that had been simmering for weeks finally boiling over.
While Solo Sikoa has spent recent months trying to keep control of his group, events recorded ahead of the June 26 broadcast suggest that control may have slipped through his fingers.
The episode was taped on June 23 in London due to WWE’s ongoing European tour schedule. Although the fallout won’t officially air until Friday, spoilers indicate that one of SmackDown’s most notable alliances has now fractured in dramatic fashion.
Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga walk away from Solo Sikoa
According to reports from the taping, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga informed Solo Sikoa that they were leaving the MFTs. Journalist Alex McCarthy summed up the moment on social media, writing: “Tama and Talla Tonga tell Solo Sikoa they are leaving the MFTs!! Solo is now….. well, ya know…. Solo.”
The split didn’t come completely out of nowhere. On the June 19 edition of SmackDown, cracks were already visible within the group. Tama and Talla made it clear that their focus was on capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship while Solo remained consumed by his ongoing issues involving Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and the wider Bloodline drama.
Things only got worse later that night. During a tag team title match against Damian Priest and R-Truth, Solo’s involvement backfired and created an opening for Truth to secure a victory with a roll-up. After the match, Tama and Talla walked away from Solo, a moment that now looks less like frustration and more like a warning shot.
Solo then inserted himself into Jimmy Uso’s match against LA Knight on the June 22 episode of RAW, contributing to Jimmy’s loss. For Tama and Talla, this might have been the final straw.
With the MFTs seemingly finished, Solo Sikoa now finds himself without the allies who once stood beside him. As WWE heads toward Night of Champions, the fallout from this split could become a major talking point on SmackDown.
