Dolph Ziggler Steals The Show
Back and forth we go, as all men are trying to get quick pinfalls to pick up the win. Dolph Ziggler hits a dropkick and then a neckbreaker onto Tyson Kidd. Ziggler hits a Fameasser and then a backbreaker. Cesaro takes control and sets Ziggler on the top. Kidd kicks Cesaro into the corner, but Cesaro hits a nice release suplex. He hits a running uppercut and then gets a two count.
Dolph gets the upper hand with a combination DDT and neckbreaker. Kidd hits a spinning neckbreaker and heads to the top. He gets stopped by an uppercut. All three men are up top and Cesaro hits a suplex while Kidd hit a powerbomb combination. Tyson locks in the Sharpshooter, while Cesaro kicks out and hits an uppercut onto Ziggler. Cesaro gets Tyson Kidd in a Cesaro Swing and Ziggler hits a massive DDT for a two count.
Dolph hits a Zig Zag and Tyson Kidd eliminates Cesaro. Tyson Kidd, looking to pick up a big win, hits a hurricanranna that sends Dolph into the steep steps. He throws the champion into the barricade and kicks him from the barricade. Kidd gets close over and over to pick up the win and then locks in the Sharpshooter. Dolph rolls out of it and picks up the win with a Zig Zag.
This was an excellent match. I loved the pacing and the time that they gave for these three guys. At first, I was surprised to see Tyson Kidd in the match. After watching it, I remember why I like him so much. His agility and athleticism is second to none. The guy is fresh to many and could be a big piece in the mid card if they give him that push. As for Cesaro, he still seems stuck in this rut. Dolph Ziggler could be the second hottest face in the WWE right now. He continues to have shows built around him, specifically Smackdown shows. I love seeing this from Ziggler and this could be his hottest streak in some time. I worry they might have him drop the title in the near future, as it seems like he is bigger than that title. Let’s hope he keeps it and brings more prestige to it.
Natalya defeated Layla
Natalya rolls out of an arm drag and Layla rolls her up for a quick count. Nattie tries to lock in the Sharpshooter, but Layla hits a stiff elbow. Nattie strikes her back with a few elbows. Layla connects with a big kick to her head and begins to taunt the crowd. Layla locks in a sleeper hold and Natalya fights out of it. On the outside, Natalya slaps Summer in the face and throws Layla into her. Nattie throws her on the mat and locks in the Sharpshooter for the win.
I do not have a problem with this match. There is no depth to it or a real story, but I thought the technicality was pretty good. I like seeing WWE give Natalya some wins. It just seems like there are no fresh feuds for Nattie right now. Maybe her vs. Paige could be good, but it would not work without a championship around one of their waists. Nonetheless, Natalya and Layla put on an average match that did not really bore me.
