Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “New Tag Teams Are Needed”

Reigns Turns The Tables, Ryback Attacks Rusev

wwe smackdownRusev vs. Roman Reigns was the main event of Smackdown. Both men fought back and forth, with Rusev tossing Reigns around the ring. He would hit a German Suplex and then a big kick to his face.

Reigns was able to kick out and set up a Superman Punch. The Big Show comes out and Roman Reigns meets him with a Superman Punch. Reigns is finally able to hit Rusev with a Spear, but Big Show gets in the way and causes the DQ. Roman Reigns ends up throwing Big Show on the ground and flipping the table over, doing what was done to him a week ago on Raw.

I have been very critical of Big Show over the years, but he is in a really beneficial spot right now. He is getting the benefit from a red hot return of Roman Reigns and making Reigns look bigger and badder than ever beating down a man that is close to 500 pounds. Who did Big Show feud with this time last year? Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns puts on a really good match and a good ending to the night with a simple and logical finish. I still wonder who will be the first one to pin Rusev. Will it be Ryback? As for Ryback, Big Show faced him in a match but had Rusev’s Russian Flag interfere and Rusev coming down to the ring. He stares down Rusev and Big Show hits a KO Punch to count out Ryback. Rusev gets hit with a meathook clothesline, which was also another solid segment.

Ever since Ryback spoke about his past and future, I want to invest more into his personality. I want to give him a chance to reach another level. Finally, Ryback is interesting to me. This night was positive for the young guys. Smackdown lacked big star power because they are not all there…YET! Give it time.
