Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Feast or Fired Shakes Things Up”

Ethan Carter vs. Jeremy Borash

impact wrestling I would love to have a conversation about who thought it would be a great idea to put Borash in the ring. Isn’t there someone else better fitted for what they are trying to do? Jeremy is a very talented guy, but not as a wrestler. Even he would agree with me on that. Hell, why not put Josh Mathews in the ring? The guy has wrestled before and did well in Tough Enough years ago, but the conflict of interest as an announcer could be… oh wait, that is EXACTLY what this is!

For Carter, give me a Spud payoff sooner rather than later. I am not sure where Spud goes from there, but i can see Carter reaching bigger heights as the year goes on.

Matt Hardy vs. James Storm

Matt kicks Storm and goes right for a Twist of Fate, but Storm rolls outside so Matt kicks him through the ropes and hiptosses him on the ramp. Matt rolls him in but Storm goes right back to the floor, then Matt chases him down and smashes Storm head off of the steps a few times. He sends Storm back in the ring and sets him up in the corner, but Storm catches him with a lung blower before he wraps Matt’s legs around the ropes. Storm punches Matt and and hits the ropes, but Matt connects with a Side Effect for two before he lifts Storm back up, but Storm catches him with Closing Time, then he sets up a Last Call superkick, but Matt ducks and tries to attack. Storm counters and goes for the Eye of the Storm, but Hardy floats over and catches him with a rollup for the win.

Solid match between two veterans. I try to think about what else could help these two guys get to another level. Storm and Hardy are two of my personal favorite performers and have been for quite some time. Although this feud is new and there is more great moments on the way, I just wanted to see more importance here. I wanted this to get more time, more attention and more eyes outside of the ring. The Revolution seems to be second fiddle right now to the BDC. Is that the right thing to do? Storm is a former champion. Abyss is a former champion. King hasn’t won anything yet and neither has MVP.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.
Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
