Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “No Need For Another Shield Member”

Seth Rollins Talks Sting

wwe smackdownThe champion comes out and talks about Sting appearing. He discusses Triple H not finishing the job at WrestleMania, which means he will have to crush his old bones to dust.

Yes, Seth Rollins is stellar in the ring. It sucks we did not get a match from him tonight, but his mic work has been spot on for months. I still think that Rollins will be pulling double duty at Night of Champions. Expect John Cena to invoke his rematch clause for that night, getting Rollins in two matches in one night.

What this does is gives Seth two feuds to work on, with Sting not being there every single week. It also gives the rematch we need and could really develop some compelling storylines between John Cena and Sting, two men who want to get their hands on the champion.

Sheamus vs Dean Ambrose

Via WZ Live Coverage

Sheamus stomps Ambrose in the corner and sends him outside, but Ambrose slams his head off the commentary table and on the barricade. Ambrose rolls Sheamus in and clotheslines him back outside, then hits a diving forearm off the top of the commentary table. Ambrose chops Sheamus a few times before Sheamus hiptosses him in to the barricade, then he scoop slams him on the lid of the commentary table. We get back from a break to see Sheamus suplex Ambrose and knee him in the face, then he applies a stretch muffler before hitting a sit out powerbomb.

Ambrose fights back with some punches before hitting a rebound clothesline on the floor. Ambrose rolls in to break the count and chops Sheamus several times, then he throws a few forearm strikes before hitting a bulldog. He goes for a roll through pin and gets two, then Sheamus charges him but Ambrose sends him into the ringpost and splashes him on the floor. Sheamus comes back with a kneelift on the ropes before calling for a Brogue kick, but Ambrose ducks and sets up Dirty Deeds. Sheamus avoids it but Ambrose knocks him down, then he backs into the corner but the lights go out. The Wyatts are shown surrounding the ring, and Ambrose tries to stand his ground, but Sheamus Brogue kicks him and makes the cover.

A really great bout between Ambrose and Sheamus. Say what you want, but Sheamus can flat out “go.” He picks up the win, in cheap heel fashion with a little help. After the match, The Wyatt Family continues to spotlight their newest member. He is massive and looks fantastic on television. 6’8″ and 385 pounds will always look impressive.

Do not add another Shield member. Braun should not be used in the ring often…right now. His time will come, but let him be that dominant presence on the outside that always needs to be thought of. Let him learn the psychological side of wrestling from Bray and the technical side from Harper.
