Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “How Kane Got His Groove Back”

What To Make of Team BAD

wwe rawNatalya picked up a win over Naomi on Raw, but did not leave unharmed. “The Boss” Sasha Banks came into the ring after the match and took out Natalya. She applied the Bank Statement and then her shades were put on Natalya’s face. This begs the question; what is going on with Team BAD?

First off, Sasha will be the most successful one of the group. That is not surprising anyone, but this whole split seems awkward. I am unsure if they want to do it now or wait a few months so Sasha immediately gets put into a championship match soon after. Does Sasha wait around in obscurity or does she immediately become important?

I think WWE needs to do more with her NOW. Make her feud just as, if not more, important than the Divas Championship. It seems confusing though because she is feuding with Natalya and Naomi (somewhat) at the same time. She taunts her teammate, but ends up helping her after the match. It came off strange to me. Make a decision and run with it.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro

In my favorite match of the night, two big heavyweights slugged it out and went toe to toe with one another. Sheamus was hitting clotheslines, Irish Curse Backbreakers and a big shoulder block. Cesaro looked to hurt his arm after a great stalling suplex early on, which helped Sheamus get the upper hand. Cesaro would unload uppercuts, sending Sheamus over the barricade. After this, Wayne Rooney and Barrett got into a little exchange, with Rooney slapping him in the face. This distracted Sheamus long enough for Cesaro to roll him up and advance to the next round.

Great stuff from Sheamus and Cesaro tonight, This was the first match that I really had to think hard about who would win. I am happy WWE gave the nod to Cesaro, especially since he is, by far, the best active performer on the roster. The guy is electric and goes from 0-60 so fast. The pacing was never rushed and felt like a “big time” fight. With Rooney’s involvement, they give ESPN something fun to talk about. Cesaro vs. Reigns in the next round. Is WWE trying to get everyone to boo Reigns now? Odd pairing, but should be an excellent match.
