Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Who Better Than EC3?”

Spotlighting The Right Guys

impact wrestlingMatt Hardy vs. Bobby Roode was a great pairing of tag team specialists who have recreated themselves as a singles star. Both men have the power to be champion, the look and the following. Tonight was Matt Hardy’s night. This was the best thing of the night that TNA did. They had many Matt Hardy promos, videos and hype surrounding a potential rematch against EC3 since he had to drop the title. He MUST move on.

I still do not love the idea of Hardy dropping it so quickly after he won it, but it gave TNA two months of programming that felt important. It helped them cruise into the holidays and had stock matches from October to air that, again, felt important. Matt should 1,000 percent be moving on. The opportunity is there and continues to be there for the taking. EC3 vs. Matt Hardy….again!

Eric Young Moves On

Eric Young and Kenny King gave us a great fight tonight. King, who has bounced around this company for such a long time, gives us what seems to be his farewell. As we know, King has gone back to his roots in ROH. This was the right call for him professionally and personally. It seems like he really never reached his ceiling, so hopefully ROH can provide some financial backing and help him grow. He is a guy that I can see in NXT in 6-9 months.

Eric Young continues to impress me. When he speaks, when he fights, it is always the same set but feels much different.  A dastardly heel he is, but he is a smart one at that also. EY could be a darkhorse in this tournament, especially if they want a face to get OVER.
