Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Breaking Up Is Easy To Do”

The League of Nations Is Blown Up

The League of Nations took a loss on WWE Smackdown against Cesaro, Sami Zayn and Kalisto. The more interesting development is that The League of Nations blew up and dismantled. After a victory over the tag champions at WrestleMania and a big spot with Stone Cold, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels all members break apart and go their own ways.

First off, not many people were invested in them as a group. They were the only original heel stable and gave us some interesting segments with The New Day. My biggest question now would this: why did they defeat The New Day on a grand stage in Dallas? If they did not have long term plans, why would they win? They could have taken the loss and attack The New Day after the match, giving the legends a reason to come attack. A missed opportunity on all fronts because we know where all of these men will go now. Who will benefit the most? In a changing landscape in the WWE, I wonder if any of these guys actually get long and beneficial feuds.

Baron Corbin defeated Damien Sandow

A quick match with Corbin hitting a few of his signature moves before End of Days. I am alright with this because the best part of his rivalry with Dolph Ziggler was on Monday. They need to show him to the crowd as much as possible right now to get him over as a legit heel.

He needs to decimate Dolph Ziggler at Payback. Dolph can bounce back from anything. If Baron loses, what does that tell about his “dominant” character? He has the size and the look to be great. He cannot suffer a loss this soon in his development on the main roster. WZ 5
