Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Charlotte and Seth Steal The Show”

Sami Zayn defeated Sheamus

Sami qualifies for Money in the Bank with a victory over the Celtic Warrior. In a very competitive match, Sheamus misses his Brogue Kick, which allows a nice suplex and Sami’s finisher to pick up the win. Were you surprised? Maybe a little bit, but WWE seems to be going full steam ahead with pushing the new guys. In recent times, this would have been a match just for Sheamus to get a win and get entered into a main match on a Pay-Per-View. Instead, he loses and then attacks Apollo Crews later in the night.

Speaking of Crews, he suffered a loss to Chris Jericho and Jericho enters Money in the Bank once again. I really enjoyed the attack that he took backstage because I have been saying for months that he needs to be in a feud with Sheamus. Crews has been off of Raw for quite some time, so it would not make much sense for him to compete in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match when he could be utilized in a legit feud, one-on-one, with someone who has been established and at a main event level for so long. Crews and Sheamus could REALLY put on some good matches. The only problem would be if it connects with the crowd. Hopefully, an open minded crowd could help push Crews more to a higher level of importance and he can mesh well with The Celtic Warrior.

Not The Best From The New Day

The New Day has a cake to celebrate an anniversary for Raw. They run around the ring with a sheet cake, but The Social Outcasts come out. They attack them and this leads to a match. Obviously, the champions pick up an easy win and then Slater gets cake all in his face.

Not the best night for The New Day. I am not sure why this was booked instead of solid tag team division development. When The New Day are champions, you have to be careful too much tomfoolery and joking do not overlook the fact that they are supposed to be the best the division has to offer. It did not show tonight and was one of the few nights that I really did not care to see them on my television screen.

Speaking of Tag Teams, Enzo Amore returned to WWE after suffering a concussion. He cuts a great promo and then The Dudley Boyz come out. Big Cass picks up a win over Bubba Dudley and a shot of adrenaline is back. It really is amazing how over Enzo Amore is because he is so over the top with everything he does. It does not come off cheesy, but comes off natural. Big Cass did a great job at staying relevant and helping him develop slightly on his own, but he is best suited right now to take over a tag team division of charisma and talent.
