Isenberg Reacts: WWE NXT “Building Towards Brooklyn”

Samoa Joe vs. Mojo Rawley

nxt-championship-social

Joe uses the energy and throws Rawley into the steel steps. He chops the big man down and sends him into the ring, unloading with kicks and punches. He hits a big elbow drop and gets a two count. Samoa Joe catches him in mid air and drops him. Joe ends up locking in his submission and makes Rawley tap out. He applies the choke hold again and out comes Shinsuke Nakamura. The security comes out and separates both men.

You need to make sure both men are separated and not touching each other. I love how different these guys are, but there needed to be more fire, more intensity. Nakamura is such a rare breed and his charisma is so fun to watch. Shinsuke is a guy that continues to make sure people know how unique he is, but I do think there needed to be a little more. Not too much, but more than a slap and a hand to the face. Samoa Joe is born and breed on his aggression and physicality. One thing we have not seen is Nakamura facing adversity.

Contract Signing

Bayley and Asuka come out to sign the contract. Bayley talks about how she is going to be the two time NXT Women’s Champion. Asuka looks at her with shock and then picks up the mic. She tells her that Bayley does not have what it takes and she will end her dreams. She says that she respects her and puts her hand out to shake. Bayley says that she respects her and tells her to take her hand away and sign the contract.

Yes, the language barrier is an issue, but the star power of both women should not be overlooked. I love how Bayley did not be this happy go-lucky girl and shake her hand. She showed some backbone and came back in to the ring to get into her face. We love Bayley for who she is, but this intense look and tough look was something that is much needed from someone who had everything taken away from her. Good stuff from both women.
