What Comes Out Of This Tournament?

This is the question I continue to ask myself. What will come out of this tournament. Last year, Finn Balor and Samoa Joe defeated Rhyno and Baron Corbin in the finals. If you look back at the final four teams, the only team left is Dash and Dawson. Going back even further, the quarterfinal teams such as The Vaudevillians, Hype Bros, American Alpha and Enzo/Cass are on the main roster. Do you see tag teams like this now ready to make the transition in a few months?

This tournament should be used for developing teams IN NXT, but I feel so many pairings were just used to fill out the tournament. Out of the 16 teams, there are only 4-5 that will be together in the long run. So, what is the point? Is it used to determine a Number One Contender? Well, no. If that was the case, why would The Revival be involved?

I like the idea of tournaments, I really do. This is falling flat for me. There just is not enough teams that are interesting to me. Maybe I am in the minority here and I hope great comes out of it. If anything, we got to see a few fun matches that just have no real level of importance.

Why NXT frustrated me…

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
