Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown Live “The Answer To The WWE Championship Problems”

Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon Get Heated

Kevin Owens comes out and complains about being screwed out of the United States Championship. He brings up how great he was treated on WWE RAW because of Stephanie, but Shane is grabbing all of the attention and making the show about him. Shane gets in his face and they go back and forth until Shane says that Aiden English will fight Sami Zayn.

Kevin Owens is on commentary and then gets in the ring, puts the referee shirt on and hits Sami with a Pop-up Powerbomb. English makes the cover, Owens counts to three fast and the match is over.

I actually thought this was a smart and interesting route to take. There is so much time to build between these guys that tonight was Owens getting one up on Shane without having to get physical. That time will come, but I would love Owens to continue to disrupt matches like this until Shane cannot handle it anymore. Let this be a small detail in a 1-2 month story that builds from hatred, jealously and ultimate betrayal. When a McMahon works with someone, you know he is important. Austin, Rock, Hogan, DX, Styles and now Owens… This is a step up from a United States Championship feud that stays the same over three months.

The Uso’s defeat The New Day

A solid tag team match gives us The Uso’s winning and able to pick a stipulation for the rematch for the WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships. What should they go with? With Hell in a Cell coming in October, I would be surprised if they wait that long. Look at what Smackdown Live is giving us on a weekly basis. They are booking Nakamura vs. Cena, Women’s Championship matches and everything in between. I expect The Uso’s to pick a match that will limit Big E. He is the power, the muscle and it would be easier for them to counter that instead of making it something that benefits Kofi (Ladder, Cage, etc).

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school.
