#5.) Global Warning 2002 – 56,000 people

WWE was returning to Australia after 16 years and fans couldn’t have been any more excited. It was an interesting period for the company as they were transitioning out of The Attitude Era. They attempted a major global expansion and their stadium show at Melbourne was a part of it.

The Colonial Stadium hosted a whopping 56,000 fans in attendance for their big return to Australia. The card was undoubtedly quite star-studded, with the main event featuring The Rock defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Triple H and the young upstart Brock Lesnar.

As with house shows, titles didn’t really change hands. Though it would be an injustice to truly call a massive event of this scale just a house show.
