#4.) Debut match with Hideo Itami
In late 2014, Hideo Itami found himself the victim of constant attacks by The Ascension. He would seek the help of the debuting Finn Balor to even the odds. They turned out to be quite a good tag team and they took on The Ascension in Balor’s debut Takeover match at NXT Takeover: R Evolution. Balor also debuted his Demon persona in WWE, which only helped his stock rise.
The two gelled perfectly together as they defeated the former NXT Tag Team Champions. It was the beginning of a special run in NXT for Balor.
