This was the performance that led Chris Jericho to proclaim himself as the 61-minute man the night after the Rumble. Truly, it was an incredible performance, as he entered the Rumble at #1 and weaseled his way throughout the match. Early 2017 was peak Jericho in his “List” phase, so even though he was a heel, he was at his height of popularity (in that run atleast).
Jericho would have an absolutely incredible showing at the Rumble, going out of his way to avoid the biggest threats and using his genius ring IQ and experience to his advantage. Though he didn’t win, he certainly came close.
