#4.) John Cena – WrestleMania 21

In 2005, a young kid named John Cena would find himself as the runner-up of the 2005 Royal Rumble, but still the fastest-rising star in the SmackDown brand. His rise to the top from an aggressive kid to a cocky rapper and then a full-fledged babyface was organic, and the WWE title reign of JBL had gone on way too long.

In the first of two coronations that night in Hollywood, John Cena would defeat JBL in a great match to win the WWE Championship. He would have an incredible run with the title, going all the way up till early January 2006 (before winning it back in less than a month). This is one of the most important coronations on this list, because it kickstarted Cena’s incredible decade-long tenure as the face of WWE, a feat that was never done before.
