#3.) Daniel Bryan vs John Cena – Summerslam

John Cena had a conventional post-WrestleMania title reign, holding the WWE title until the summer of 2013. At the time, Daniel Bryan had finished his run with Team Hell No, determined to prove that he wasn’t the weak link despite Kane insisting he wasn’t. It led to him picking up a lot of steam and quickly becoming the hottest WWE superstar in the company.

This led to John Cena handpicking Bryan as his SummerSlam opponent. Despite both being babyfaces, they were anything but friendly to each other. Props to Cena for working through a terrible injury because he and Bryan put on a fantastic match anyway. The chemistry was there and they had one of the best SummerSlam main events in years. Bryan won the WWE title for the first time, only to lose it immediately to Randy Orton, who cashed in his MITB briefcase after a Triple H heel turn.

This would kickstart his 8-month long journey to WrestleMania.
