The Undertaker had been a featured superstar since Survivor Series 1990. Just based on his size alone, people knew that there was something special about the man who Brother Love introduced. Over the years, his character developed, his skills in the ring developed and in a matter of years, he became one of the trusted veterans of the company who also happened to be one of the greatest all-round performers in the business.

Having been through five different eras in WWE, The Phenom faced the best of the best from each generation and each rivalry furthered him as a character and as a performer. There’s no denying the impact of the first six to seven years that his career had on the company. There’s no ignoring the opponents and rivals that he’s faced during that time, including Diesel, Yokozuna, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, Jimmy Snuka, Ted Dibiase, etc.  While all of them contributed greatly to making him the star he is, they, unfortunately, don’t make the cut on this list.

His most memorable rivalries started from right before the Attitude Era, which is what we’ll be focusing on here.
