In a week where reports of mysterious home-made bombs dominated network news programs, now comes word that bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc has a connection to the world of professional wrestling.
Newsweek reports that Cesar Sayoc, 56, of Aventura, Florida had ‘big dreams’ of becoming a professional wrestler. According to Sayoc’s cousin, Sayoc moonlighted as a male stripper; but that was only after steroids destroyed his professional wrestling dreams. “He took a lot of steroids, and he also danced as a male stripper. He was dancing at clubs. The kid was huge. He wanted to make it as a pro wrestler, but the steroids f***ed his head up.”
According to Sayoc’s cousin, who wishes to remain anonymous, Sayoc began acting erratically, which led to a falling out with his family. Sayoc’s previous Twitter account has now been suspended, however, the account featured the word “wrestler” in his bio. Sayoc had numerous run-ins with law enforcement including a 2002 arrest for threatening to use a bomb and a 2004 arrest for possession of synthetic anabolic androgenic steroids.
Sayoc’s cousin describes the steroid arrest, “He was driving and got stopped with a trunk full of steroids. His brain was too weak.”
Sayoc is currently being charged with five federal counts; including mailing illegal explosives, interstate transportation of an explosive, threats against former presidents and certain other persons, threatening interstate communications, and assaulting current and former federal officers.
Several well known Democratic leaders were sent explosive devices via the mail, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama.

According to Sayoc’s cousin, “We never discussed politics, but he was definitely a Republican.”
