The following is from Major League Wrestling:

Not often can one guarantee a world championship title switch but next Friday December 14th on live television fans coast to coast nationwide will see just that as the vacant World Middleweight Championship is decided on MLW Fusion LIVE on beIN SPORTS at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.

Major League Wrestling today announced that Maxwell Jacob Friedman will not be medically cleared to defend the championship title due to fracturing his elbow in November. As such, the championship has been held up and will be determined when Dezmond Xavier, “Haitian Sensation” Kotto Brazil, Andrew Everett and Jason Cade attempt to climb the ladder and grab destiny in the form of the World Middleweight Championship.

The title bout will kick off next Friday’s MLW Fusion LIVE broadcast on beIN SPORTS at 8pm ET / 5pm PT at the Miami Scottish Rite Temple as MLW presents its first-ever live special on national network television.

“The fans are paying for a title match and the league will deliver on the promise of one next Friday,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “When MJF is medically cleared by his doctor and league physicians, he will have an opportunity to reclaim the title.”

As reported earlier, then-MLW Middleweight Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, suffered a fractured elbow and was given a timetable of 4-6 weeks for recovery. While he was being monitored by MLW officials, it was determined that wouldn’t be able to compete and thus had to vacate the title.
