WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently appeared on WKYC – Channel 3 Cleveland and was interviewed on a number of topics including Cleveland Browns & Oklahoma Sooners football, as well as his time in the XFL.
With the recently resurrected football league revealing its eight team league and announcing play in 2020, Ross opened up about the league’s lone 2001 season,
“I loved it. I had a blast. It was a lifelong dream, no kidding. I didn’t do it for the money. I made $1,500 a game and we make five times that going out and signing autographs. For a network game on NBC: $1,500, but I’m not complaining about that. That’s the thing to make clear. It was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. It was new and exciting.”
