Another injury has plagued MLW’s Middleweight Championship Ladder Match at MLW Fusion: Zero Hour. Inaugural champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman had to vacate the title due to injury, and now another injured competitor has been removed from the bout.
Jason Cade recently broke his ankle, and will now be replaced in the Fatal Four Way Ladder Match by Hijo de LA Park, who is scheduled to wrestle DJZ the night before. The following is from MLW.com:
The staggering list of injuries continues to grow as middleweight contender Jason Cade broke his ankle under mysterious circumstances. There are conflicting reports that Cade was attacked leaving the gym by a masked assailant. League’s security division is investigating.
Matchmakers moved quickly yet again to reconfigure a ladder match that has had 3 competitors injured prior to the upcoming bout this Friday night.
Salina de la Renta and league officials have closed a deal for Promociones Dorado’s top ranked middleweight Hijo de LA Park to step in as a replacement for Cade.
This Friday night the 4-way ladder match will see Hijo de LA Park, Kotto Brazil, Andrew Everett and Dezmond Xavier battle it out with one man grabbing destiny in the form of the World Middleweight Championship.
