In the run up to the awards, we’ll be going through the nominees each day. Today’s subject will be: Breakthrough Performer.

Nick Aldis

While an accomplished veteran in his own right, Nick Aldis managed to go to the next level in 2018. He’s become the face of NWA, and put on some great matches with Cody Rhodes throughout the year.

Joey Janela

The “Bad Boy” has become the talk of professional wrestling thanks to his fun events and great matches. Sadly, his year ended on a downer note due to a knee injury, but he still had a memorable 2018.

A-Kid

One of wrestling’s best kept secrets was A-Kid. A secret no more, the talented Spanish wrestler put on a match of the year contender against Zack Sabre Jr. and several other standout bouts.

Ethan Page

What a year for Ethan Page. Not only did he become one of the most prominent names on the independent circuit, but the personable star also debuted for IMPACT Wrestling. He truly paved the way for bigger things in 2019.

Jordynne Grace

Another recent IMPACT signee, Grace become one of the most popular women on the indie scene. Her intense matches have helped her stand out among a lot of talent.

Flip Gordon

The Ring of Honor star became incredibly popular thanks to Being The Elite, and his in-ring talents can back up all the hype.

Fallah Bahh

It’s hard to ignore this 400-lb star wherever he goes. However, he’s become a popular part of IMPACT Wrestling this year.

Liv Morgan

The Riott Squad member might be young, but she’s already coming into her own as a performer. Morgan has been an entertaining part of RAW this year, and has been involved in several memorable matches.

Of course, these are only a few of the incredible teams that had a great 2018. As such, you can write-in any wrestler you want for your vote.
