John Cena Named Sports Entertainer Of The Year, Sports nWo Shirt (PHOTO)

WWE Superstar John Cena was named the Miami Herald Sports Entertainer of the Year for 2018. According to Jim Varsallone of The Miami Herald, “The acknowledgment is based on pro wrestling as well as other entertainment endeavors outside the ring during the 12-month period.”

Cena was credited for his high profile WWE appearances at WrestleMania 34 & the Greatest Royal Rumble, as well as for taking a moral stance in opting out of WWE’s Saudi Arabian Crown Jewel show. Cena was also recognized for his numerous movie roles and as the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards host.

The Miami Herald also compiled a Mount Rushmore of 2018 wrestling talent. Included on that list are; John Cena, Ronda Rousey, Cody Rhodes, and Chris Jericho. The Miami Herald also notes that the following wrestlers had an ‘outstanding’ 2018: The Miz, Johnny Impact, Becky Lynch, Colt Cabana, and Xavier Woods. John Cena was also spotted backstage at WWE’s Live Holiday Tour in Baltimore, Maryland. The 16-time world champion took time to pose for photographs with fans, all while paying homage to the legendary nWo:
