Mychal Thompson is a former NBA Champion with the Lakers, and the father of current NBA superstar Klay Thompson, but he’s also a professional wrestling fan. He revealed that fact today on his Twitter feed after finding out that “Mean” Gene Okerlund had passed away. He said that the voice of WWE was the “best [wrestling] interviewer ever,” and that he can’t wait to see the RAW tribute for the legendary broadcaster. He even called him the “Howard Cosell of the [wrestling] world.”
Thompson went on to talk about his thoughts on the current product, and named his favorite promos.According to the current Lakers broadcaster, the five best WWE superstars on the mic are Becky Lynch, The Miz, Alexa Bliss, The Usos, and Paul Heyman. As far as all-time goes, he named Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, The Rock, Steve Austin, and Roddy Piper as the greatest. Although, he also had much love for the original Four Horsemen.
