Mike & Maria Kanellis Reportedly Requested WWE Release

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that WWE couple Mike and Maria Kanellis have recently asked for their WWE release. According to Satin’s sources, the couple have been unhappy with how they have been used in WWE for some time now and decided to ask for their release several weeks ago. To add, Mike Kanellis has also started selling his own tee shirts via Pro Wrestling Tees. The report comes on the same day of a Fightful report, which indicates that some within the WWE are fearful that The Revival may be done with the company.

Mike & Maria Kanellis first appeared on WWE television together in June 2017 at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Mike Kanellis then engaged in a brief feud with Sami Zayn. Since that time, the couple were not seen often on WWE television. Maria Kanellis took time away to give birth to the couple’s first child and Mike Kanellis took time off to battle addiction.

Mike Kanellis currently wrestles for the 205 Live brand. Prior to signing with WWE, the couple wrestled for both Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling.
