Lawlor and Low Ki make their entrances before the main event.
MLW World Heavyweight Championship: Tom Lawlor (c) vs Low Ki (with Salina De La Renta) (Steel Cage Match)
Low Ki blasts Lawlor with a cheap shot and hits him with several punches, kicks and strikes. Lawlor hits Low Ki with a series of punches. Lawlor gets out of a headlock by lifting Low Ki and slamming him into the cage. Lawlor grounds Low Ki and works on his arm and torso. Lawlor hits him wiith a fallaway suplex before Low Ki breaks out of a rear naked choke by sending the champion into the cage. Low Ki hits Lawlor in the stomach with one of De La Renta’s high heel shoes. Then, he hits Lawlor in the head with it.
Low Ki hits the MLW World Heavyweight Champion with a series of stiff kicks and Lawlor asks for more. He gets to his feet but Low Ki sends him headfirst into the cage again. The challenger bounces the back of Lawlor’s head off the cage. Low Ki puts Lawlor in an abdominal stretch and grounds Lawlor with a headbutt when he tries to escape before locking in the hold again. Lawlor gains momentum with a combo of punches and kicks. He hits most of a suplex but Low Ki lands a knee to the head before impact.
Low Ki crawls for the door but Lawlor stops him. The challenger blocks a powerbomb and hits a stiff double foot stomp to the champion for a near fall. Lawlor evades a springboard crossbody and hits Low Ki with a spinning facebuster for a near fall. Lawlor, shades of Ken Shamrock, puts Low Ki in an ankle lock but Low Ki uses the ropes to climb his way out of it with a kick. Lawlor steals a roll of pennies from Low Ki and blasts him in the head with it. Lawlor calls for the door and tries to make his way out of the cage but De La Renta slams it shut.
The champion tries to climb out of the cage but Low Ki stops him, climbs over him and locks in the dragon sleeper. Low Ki tries to climb out but the MLW Heavyweight Champion somewhat stops him. The challenger sends Lawlor down into the tree of woe position. Low Ki teased going for the double foot stomp from the top of the cage but, instead, Lawlor crotches him. Both men trade strikes on top of the cage. Lawlor tries to escape but Low Ki stops him. The MLW Heavyweight Champion almost falls to the floor after some strikes but his foot gets caught in the cage.
Both men hang precariously from the cage as they climb lower. They exchange strikes and send each other headfirst into the cage. One final blow from the cage sends Lawlor crashing to the floor with Low Ki only nanoseconds behind.
WINNER AND STILL MLW CHAMPION: TOM LAWLOR
After the match, Lawlor is attacked by his former teammate Simon Gotch, Jacob Fatu and Josef Salaem. The three men gang up on Lawlor and pull him back into the ring. Fatu, like Jimmy Snuka, hits a splash from the top of the cage onto the fallen champion. The trio covers Lawlor with a CONTRA flag to end the show.
