Josh Alexander was a recent guest on IMPACT Wrestling’s Press Pass podcast, and spoke about building his own following in Canada, and now getting a bigger platform as a new signee with the promotion:
“My border problems as well happened after my neck injury, so I really haven’t been to [the United States]. When I stopped going to America, I started concentrating on making Canada—we have so many good professional wrestlers up here, but there’s not a lot of eyes on us—other than the Twitch shows or One Night Only with Destiny [Wrestling], a lot of the guys can’t get their names out there. I really wanted to try and get eyes on Canada.
As for me starting with a company and getting this big amount of exposure, if it happened five years ago, I might be a little more hesitant, maybe a little bit nervous and reserved. I feel like I’m ready; I’ve worked with tons of guys, some of the most talented wrestlers in the world. I’ve been in the ring with them, and I know that I can go toe-to-toe with any of them. Now stepping into IMPACT, I feel like I’m more ready than I’ve ever been.”
