TMZ Sports recently caught up with The Miz and asked him about Ronda Rousey‘s recent actions on RAW, as well as some of her ‘non-scripted’ promos during her YouTube series about the intricacies of ‘fake’ pro wrestling.
The Miz says Ronda is getting people to pay attention, and that’s what it’s all about when it comes to Wrestlemania season:
“Ronda Rousey marches to the beat of her own drum. She always has, and she’s a person that likes to stir it up, and make people talk and make people listen. She’s doing exactly that. It seems to me that she’s headed towards the main event of Wrestlemania, and we’ll see if Becky and Charlotte can do some damage there as well. We’ll see what happens—I honestly don’t know—but right now she’s making noise, she’s making headlines and you’re talking about her.
Everything’s working about it. Everything’s working, isn’t it?
It’s WrestleMania season. You do whatever you have to do to get people watching. Right now, she’s doing exactly that. You’re paying attention, everyone is paying attention, and that’s what it’s all about.”

Miz was also asked about Rousey’s husband, Travis Browne, and the potential for him to be a WWE Superstar. Miz said he doesn’t even know if that’s something Browne would want to do, but praised the MMA fighter’s ability to throw a punch:
“It takes a lot more than being big to be a WWE Superstar, but let’s put it this way—the guy is a monster. He’s huge. One punch can knock you out, one blow. That’s not being a WWE Superstar, that’s just being a fighter.”
