Possible NXT Title Match *Spoiler* For TakeOver New York
With Tommaso Ciampa being forced to vacate the NXT Championship, Johnny Gargano will face Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: New York for the title. Cole earned his title opportunity by defeating Ricochet, Aleister Black, Matt Riddle, and The Velveteen Dream in a Fatal Five-Way match.
Initially, Ciampa was to defend his title against his former Tag Team partner. Now, Gargano and Cole will face off in a 2 of 3 Falls match at TakeOver. However, it looks like the results of that contest might have been spoiled with some recent advertisements for upcoming NXT live events, according to Adam Ortiz (via Wrestling Inc).
Upcoming NXT live shows in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and St. Paul, Minnesota are advertising a Champion vs. Champion match between Cole and Velveteen Dream. The events are scheduled for Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, long after TakeOver: New York. Dream is currently the NXT North American Champion, however, Cole is not a title holder at this time. With that being said, it looks like Cole will leave with the NXT title in New York come April.

Tommaso Ciampa On Vacating NXT Title
Speaking of the NXT Title, Ciampa is still mourning the loss of the strap. He took to Twitter and said it feels like a part of him died after relinquishing the gold. Ciampa called his title reign the greatest 237 days of his life:
