The Alliance of American Football, which is considered to be one of the primary rivals of the XFL, is set to fold today and cease operations. The news comes in the wake of speculation that the league was on its last legs just eight weeks after its very first round of games. Fans had previously voiced their support of the new NFL-alternative, and now, it seems like they’ll have to look towards the XFL which is set to resume operations in 2020.
