After a story that largely wrote itself, Batista got what he wanted when Triple H agreed to face him at WrestleMania 35. The Animal attacked Ric Flair, which provoked Triple H to accept Batista’s terms. The Game put his career on the line in the No Holds Barred match. After a long fight, Triple H pinned Batista after a Pedigree, with some assistance from Ric Flair.
The bout immediately devolved into the fight it was destined to be. With WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels at ringside as a commentator, Triple H and Batista tore each other apart. Both men used practically all the weapons available to them. The Game brutally used some pliers to wrench Batista’s fingers. Triple H used another set of pliers to rip out Batista’s nose ring.
Batista gained some momentum and similarly used weapons to inflict punishment on Triple H. The Game speared Batista through an announce table. Ric Flair came to the ring and gave Triple H a sledgehammer. Flair distracted Batista, which allowed Triple H to pedigree Batista for the win.
