Becky Lynch Feared Losing WrestleMania Main Event To Kofi Kingston/Daniel Bryan, Wanting To Compete In Abu Dhabi

WWE RAW and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch spoke to The National shortly after her big WrestleMania 35 victory. “The Man” talked about her feelings on Ronda Rousey in the WWE, women finally main eventing WrestleMania, being worried about losing the main event, and wanting to compete in Abu Dhabi.

Here are the highlights:

Her feelings on Ronda Rousey in WWE:

Oh yeah, slap the head off her and chase her out of the company. It was great. It was great. She talked about how my face was so easily breakable and then broke her hand on my face.

Women finally getting to main event a WrestleMania:

It’s incredible. I’ve been dreaming about this since I was 15 years old and here we are. It’s still even very hard for me to comprehend the magnitude of it, but I’ve been working towards that obsessively for years.

Worried about losing the main event slot to Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston:

I was worried about it slipping away. Just because the build to the match had been so long that I was worried with Kofi heating up as much as he did, and them referring to several of the matches as the main event. Then I was like, ‘Oh, but are we the main event? But maybe they … I mean, they really should, but maybe they won’t.’

Because you never know in this place, which is a great thing but also a bad thing and a terrifying thing, especially when you’re trying to achieve all of your dreams.

Wanting to compete in Abu Dhabi:

Absolutely,” Lynch said. “I’ll bring my two belts. I’ll walk in with my two belts, I’ll walk out with my two belts. We’ll all have a great time.
