SmackDown Live was opened by Kevin Owens. After speaking to the hometown crowd in French, he invited Kofi Kingston down to the ring for the KO Show. Kingston and Xavier Woods thanked the crowd for their support and then addressed Big E’s injury. “Big E is going to be fine,” assured Kingston.

A tag team match was set between New Day against Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura. Kevin Owens then suggested turning it into a six-man tag and called himself “Big O” as a New Day replacement. Xavier wasn’t sure he was qualified, but Owens rotated his hips and earned their respect. He was then gifted a shirt and unicorn horn. The new trio then twerked as Nakamura and Rusev looked on in disgust then Cesaro asked to join in.
