AEW & NJPW Still A Non-Relationship Despite Chris Jericho’s Return

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer made it clear on the latest episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Garrett Gonzales that there is no change in the non-relationship between All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. This is after Chris Jericho issued a challenge to IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada for their Dominion show on June 9. The quote from Meltzer is below:

It’s not an AEW booking, it’s not a sign that AEW and NJPW are working together. There’s no relationship and there’s no change in that aspect right now. Hopefully someday there will be, but right now that’s not the case.

Jericho showed up via video message to address Okada at NJPW Dontaku event and to throw the challenge out there in which the champ accepted.
