All Elite Wrestling‘s pending TV deal is expected to be announced ahead of next week’s WarnerMedia upfront meeting, and the promotion will likely see a weekly show on TNT.
According to Tony Maglio of The Wrap, AEW / Turner deal is “virtually done,” and the partnership is expected to be announced an hour before the upfront takes place. Tony Khan and some AEW talent are expected to be in attendance at Madison Square Garden, where the meeting is taking place.
It was noted that financial terms of the deal are not expected to be disclosed as AEW is not a publicly traded company, but the weekly show is expected to debut this fall. AEW and Turner representatives were asked for comment but did not at time of publication of Maglio’s report.
Last month, TheWrap reported that AEW and Turner were in advanced talks for a TV deal, but it was far from a done deal and put the announcement date in jeopardy.
