Report: Steve Austin Got ‘Huge Raise’ From WWE Ahead Of New TV Show

While no longer an active competitor, Steve Austin has been under WWE employ since retiring under a “legends” deal. This allows for the company to use his likeness and restrict him from appearing for other wrestling companies. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently reported on their forum that Austin “just got a huge raise.”

This news comes after USA announced that they’ll be showing a new television series starring Austin called “Straight Up Steve Austin.” The show is set to appear directly following WWE RAW on Monday nights starting August 12. Confirmed guests include country singer and actor Trace Adkins, NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr., comedian Gabriel Iglesias, WWE Superstar Becky Lynch, NFL Quarterback Baker Mayfield and more.
