Ahead of Shane Taylor’s match at ROH Best in the World, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated profiled the ROH World Television Champion. The long-form piece, titled “How Shane Taylor Went From a Rough Cleveland Neighborhood to ROH Television Champion,” delves into Taylor’s personal life and his challenging upbringing.
“’Thankfully, I did not become a statistic,'” said Taylor via Barrasso. “‘Would I still be alive? I don’t know. I’m better off just focusing on doing what I am doing now.’”
Edge Reminisces About Umaga
At the heights of their careers, Edge and Umaga were two of WWE’s top stars. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, in a recent Q&A, Edge talked about some of the memories he made with the former Intercontinental Champion, including an unforgettable tag team match at a live event. “‘I painted myself as Umaga and put ‘CANADA’ on my stomach, and put tribal paint on and put my hair straight up,” said Edge via Ross Sapp.
