Daniel Bryan And Rowan Retain SmackDown Tag Team Championship At WWE Stomping Grounds

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan are trying to “save” the Blue Brand’s tag division. The team has successfully taken on all challengers but Heavy Machinery is the pair’s latest challenge. Both teams met at Stomping Grounds with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship on the line. Bryan and Rowan retained the titles after Bryan rolled up Tucker.

Despite Bryan’s expertise, Otis still overpowered him early on. Tucker similarly used his strength advantage to dominate Bryan. A clothesline sent Bryan flying but Rowan floored Tucker with a crossbody. Bryan’s intellectual peer seized control of the match and the champions ganged up on Tucker. Bryan targeted the big man’s leg and slammed it against the ring post. Rowan squashed Tucker with a splash for a near fall. Otis finally tagged in and floored Bryan with some shoulder tackles. Bryan kicked Otis in the face but nearly got pinned after a powerbomb. Otis missed a Vader Bomb and Bryan kicked him a few days. Otis begged for more and tossed Bryan across the ring. Heavy Machinery nearly got the win but Rowan broke up the pin. Tucker planted Bryan with a back suplex but missed a moonsault.

Rowan and Otis traded strikes and both men refused to go down. Bryan broke up the Compactor but Tucker took Rowan down with a dive to the outside. Bryan rolled up Tucker to retain the titles.
